My training spans functional medicine, medical nutrition therapy, and nutritional psychiatry — but what drives my work is much simpler:
I know what it's like to not trust your own body and mind.
Digestion and mental health may seem like random, separate struggles — though they're deeply connected physiologically. Together, we'll find the root of your digestive issues, which for many of the people I work with, has a gut-brain component. I specialize in working with people navigating depression, anxiety, and burnout — and often the highly capable and hyperindependent.
This work means listening to what your body has been trying to tell you, addressing gut health at the root, calming a nervous system running on high alert, and rebuilding your relationship with food and your body by gently rewiring old thoughts and beliefs.
Most importantly, we'll build a plan that actually fits your life — not an overwhelming stack of supplements or a protocol that adds more stress than it relieves.
Most of us were never taught how to care for our bodies or minds. That changes here. Understanding yourself is the key to long-term control and self-trust.
Solutions
-
Food first, always. Nutrition is the foundation of every care plan, integrating: medicinal foods, nutritional psychiatry, clinical dietary protocols, and assessment of unique nutrient needs.
-
Never required; always an option. I can order tests for gut microbiome analysis, SIBO, DUTCH, OAT, and other bloodwork. This can lead to more precise plans — and for many, answers when their conventional labs are “normal.”
-
Herbal remedies and nutraceuticals may be selected to support individualized needs. Supplements are intended for short-term use to correct imbalances, with long-term management found through food and lifestyle. We’ll alway consider interactions with current medications (i.e. SSRIs).
-
Nearly everything from digestion to hormone production is influenced by what we eat and how we live. A holistic approach integrates mind, body and lifestyle into every plan to achieve optimal and long-lasting results. We’ll discuss nervous system regulation techniques and lifestyle routines that are interesting and sustainable for you.
